Description: A buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in YardRadius. A remote user may be able to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.

The vendor reported that a remote user can trigger a stack overflow in the process_menu() function.

Max Vozeler is credited with discovering this flaw.

It is also reported that there was a separate buffer overflow in the calc_acctreq() function.

Impact: A remote user may be able to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.

Solution: The vendor has released a fixed version (1.0.21), available at:

http://yardradius.sourceforge.net/
