Description: A vulnerability was reported in 3Com's 3CServer. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Several of the FTP commands contain buffer overflows, including the STAT command. A remote authenticated user, including an anonymous user, can send a specially crafted command to trigger an overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Impact: A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system with the privileges of the FTP service.
