A Blogger on the ZDNet network has reported that he found some code in the current version of the Google Gmail service, which might add on another useful feature to this awesome web mail service. The code is “oe[”op”]=”Get prices”;” and this hints towards a possible Froogle inclusion in the Google Gmail service. For example, if a mail has some product name or listing, Google might show relevant links to their Froogle shopping service for that product. This would add on to existing similar services, which tells the user about UPS package delivery schedule, check out Maps of locations and even adding a schedule to Google Calendar service. We just might see this feature added to Google Gmail in the coming days. Or perhaps, this feature might be totally removed considering legal email promoters might protest against this move. It would be bad for them if Google points to cheaper shopping links for the products being sent to the consumers in their mails. |
